International Standards and Quality System

July 30th, 2012 at 08:56 am

Our modern, state of the art, manufacturing facility is located between San Francisco and Los Angeles. The facility is fully air-conditioned and humidity controlled with static controlled floors and surfaces throughout. Our pressure calibrator are fully temperature compensated across an operating range up to -20°C (14°F) to 50°C (122°F) throughout the full pressure span making them excellent for field use, and not just well controlled laboratory environments. Our calibration lab is one of the only labs around to offer pressure and current calibration over a broad temperature range of -20C to 50C. Most labs are only accredited at room temperature.

Our products have a very accurate "of reading" specification, and are not derated for temperature effects. To assure these specifications, each gauge and calibrator is thoroughly tested under varying environmental conditions, in test chambers. Testing is automated - high accuracy pressure controllers and automated mass handling (AMH) piston gauges from DH Instruments control applied pressure. We utilize the DHI AMH-38 Low Pressure Piston Gauge with bell for gauge pressure and vacuum measurements, and the DHI AMH-100 High Pressure, Oil Lubricated Gas, Piston Gauge for up to 15,000 PSI. All test data is recorded to dedicated network servers (with fully automated robotic tape handling archival backup), stored, and accessible by product serial number.

Our calibration lab is A2LA accredited and recognized by ILAC and our products are DNV certified for Test and Calibration Equipment for ships, high speed & light craft and DNV's offshore standards.

International Standards and Quality System
Martel temperature calibrator manufactures under and ISO9000:2000 quality management system with additional qualifications to meet the requirements of Europena Council Directive 94/9/EC as registered by KEMA Quality B. V. (Netherlands) certificate number KEMA 03ATEXQ3019. Martel's calibration practices are compliant with ANSI standard Z540.1 and all calibrations are NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) traceable. Everyone at Martel is actively engaged in quality control, to assure that only the highest quality materials and components are used - and that they receive the most reliable products available.
