A new member of the REFERENCE TEMPERATURE CALIBRATOR series

June 12th, 2012 at 04:12 am

SINO temperature calibrator has just launched another member of the Reference Temperature Calibrator – the RTC-700.

With new innovative features and the exceptional well-known SINO quality, the JOFRA RTC-700 and the rest of the RTC-family sets a new standards for reference temperature calibrators worldwide.

The RTC-700 offers many unique features such as the patent pending Dynamic Load Compensation (DLC) system which ensures optimal temperature homogeneity in the insert no matter the number and size of sensors immersed. Also the unique intelligent sensors reference to "plug'n'play” connectivity, a readable color VGA monitor and USB connection for improved communication and firmware downloads are among the new features.

RTC-700 covers a wide temperature range from 33°C up to 700°C.

All RTC models are available in three different models:
Model A - reference temperature calibrator
Model B - reference digital pressure gauge with input to the reference sensor, the DLC sensor and sensor-under-test
Model C - reference temperature calibrator with input to the reference sensor and the DLC sensor
JOFRACAL software package comes as standard with all three models.

RTC-700 uses a unique developed triple-zone temperature control technology. Each heating zone is independently controlled for precision temperature calibration. The homogeneity in the lower zone is close to a liquid bath, and ensures optimum heat dissipation throughout the entire calibration zone. The upper zone compensates for heat loss from the sensors-under-test and from the opening at the top. This eliminates the need for extra insulation of the sensors-under-test and makes it possible to calibrate liquid-filled and other mechanical sensors.

Furthermore the RTC-700 offers improved technology with its new DLC sensor, which measures the temperature in the calibrator’s insert and provides feedback to the active triple-zone system to compensate for the temperature differences resulting from testing various sensors. This allows the RTC-700 to perform highly accurate temperature calibrations without being affected by the size and number of sensors under test.

Along with the new DLC sensor, the RTC-700 includes a newly designed STS-200 (Superior Temperature Standard) reference sensor the STS-200 and DLC sensors have been angled 90° and customized so the top of the sensor is only slightly higher than the top of the calibrator. This unique design makes it possible for the RTC-700 to calibrate threaded sensors and sensors with connection heads.

The RTC-series rugged, lightweight design features new multi-hole insert kits that cover most commonly known sensor sizes and a highly functional carrying case for improved portability and convenience. The specially designed carrying case makes it possible to pressure data logger store and protect the DLC sensor and reference sensors, inserts, support rods, wires, manuals, plugs and insert tools.
